Kari Hiltunen has been appointed as the new Country Manager of Reval Hotels in Latvia

The Reval hotel group has appointed Mr. Kari Hiltunen as the new Country Manager of Reval Hotels in Latvia and General Manager of the Reval Hotel Latvija  as of May 2nd , 2007.
Kari  Hiltunen has had a long and distinguished career in the hotel industry and in fact, is returning  to the Reval hotel group, having served as Managing Director of the  Sokos Hotel Viru in Tallinn for the last  two years.  Prior to that he was the General Manager of the  Reval Hotel Olumpia in Tallinn. Previously, Mr. Hiltunen  was the  Sales and Marketing Manager of the  Sokos Hotel Viru between 2000 and 2003.

Speaking of his appointment, Mr. Hiltunen said:  “I feel that I am coming to an interesting and dynamic city. It is my opinion that Riga is the most international and fastest developing city in the Baltics and the forthcoming challenges for  Reval Hotels increase my eagerness and enthusiasm to live in Riga. The fact that we are building a new hotel and spa center in Riga will serve to enhance and improve our services.”

Before moving to the Baltics, Kari ran his own successful restaurant business in Finland for seven years and spent the previous six years working in several Cumulus hotels as executive chef, restaurant manager and hotel manager. Mr. Hiltunen also brings his international experience gained with The Westin Hotels & Resorts Group, Canada and with the SAS Radisson Oslo to the Reval hotel group.
