Heikki Vanhanen becomes new CEO
The Reval hotel group has appointed Heikki Vanhanen as new CEO. Mr. Vanhanen, who has been acting as Country Manager Latvia since 2003 and as General Manager of the Reval Hotel Latvija in Riga since 2000, will commence his new position as of 1st of April 2007. He succeeds Karl Otto Skogland.
Mr. Vanhanen previously worked as General Manager for Scandic Hotel Marski in Helsinki, Finland from 1993-2000. Prior to that time, he was General Manager for several hotels from the Restel Hotel Group in both Turku and Tampere, Finland. Mr. Vanhanen has participated in Cornell University’s General Manager’s Programme. He also spent one year on a management exchange programme in the United States.
In addition, on 1st of January 2007 the Reval hotel group appointed Carl Kjellberg as new Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Kjellberg was previously General Manager for several hotels from the Radisson SAS hotel chain in Sweden, Norway and Latvia. He succeeds Helina Tuvike, who will stay with the Reval hotel group as Director of E-Commerce and Revenue Management.
