What to do in Tallinn..… with children?Tallinn has a nice
Zoo where you can see different animals from all over the world. During the summer petting zoo is also open.
There are lots of different museums which are also interesting for kids. Some examples include:
Children’s museum which has toys from the middle ages up to the present;
Kalev marzipan museum gives the best overview of the history of marzipan- about how a medicine initially made in the pharmacy became a sweet enjoyed all over the world; and finally at the
Open Air museum you can not only explore historical houses from the past ,but also take a horse and carriage ride, meet domestic animals and have a picnic in the open air.

One way to explore Tallinn is to rent a bike from
City Bike. If you are up for something a bit more adventurous why not climb between the trees in the
Nõmme Seikluspark or enjoy a cart ride at
Saurix kart centre.

Most shops in Tallinn’s Old Town and Tallinn’s many department stores are open 7 days a week. The biggest shopping centres in Tallinn are:
Tallinna Kaubamaja,
Stockmann,
Viru Keskus,
Foorum,
Ülemiste Centre,
Rocca al Mare Shopping Centre and
Kristiine Shopping Centre. All the best boutiques, souvenir’s and art stores are located in the Old Town. Most shops accept major credit cards.

To feel the history of Tallinn, visit
Tallinn’s Old Town which is one of the best preserved medieval European towns. Walk the cobbled stone streets and see the many beautiful houses dating back from the 11th to the 15th century.
Tallinn has also been under Russian Tsarist rule and there are some great sites left from the
Russian Tsarist Period. One of the best example is Kadriorg Palace, which has been the residence of the Estonian head of state since 1930.
Different
museums of art, history and culture can also be found in Tallinn.
