The biggest shopping centres in Riga are Galerija Centrs, Alfa, Origo, Stockmann, Mols, and Dole – here you can find local and international brands – variety to suit even the most seasoned shopper. If you are looking for haut-couture and specialty designers there are plenty from around the world in the Old Town and in the centre of the city.

Riga is very well known for its architecture and is even called the world capital of Art Nouveau. Riga is also famous for its wooden architecture and has the highest concentration of wooden structure of any European capital.
