Kaunas Airport

Kaunas International Airport is situated in 13 km north-east of Kaunas and has excellent connections to the main railways, motorways and river ports in the region:

• Distance to Via Baltica highway - 15 km;
• Distance to A1 motorway - 8 km;
• Distance to A6 motorway - 15 km;
• Distance to Palemonas railway cargo terminal - 10 km;
• Distance to Kaunas river port – 17 km.

The easiest way to reach your Kaunas hotel or other destination is to take a taxi or hire a car. There are several car rental offices at the airport.
You can also reach Kaunas city center, and go back to the airport from the city centre, by shuttle bus No. 120, which takes the following route:

A city bus line No. 29 also serves the airport taking a route from Kaunas Airport:

 (Karmelava) – Savanoriu Ave. – Bus station – Panemune – Viciunai.

The new terminal meets the Schengen zone requirements, and modern new baggage service technologies have been installed. There are 12 new registration desks to help reduce queues to a minimum.
