Kaunas nightlife

There are a number of higher education institutions in Kaunas, and that is why Kaunas is full of active students, organizing various events, festivals and celebrations, making Kaunas a lively city. Every year there are lots of cultural events going on in Kaunas, as the city boasts a number of theatres, galleries, and museums. All year round here you will have an opportunity to see smaller or bigger festivals, celebrations or cultural events like Kaunas Jazz; the Pažaislis Music Festival; Operetta in Kaunas Castle; Hansa Kaunas; and the Kaunas City Days.

Lovers of nightlife will enjoy Kaunas’s nightclubs, cafes and bars, offering a wide range of entertainment from karaoke, to the best local and foreign DJs to basketball games translations on big screens. In the summer time the terraces of the city’s cafés, provide the perfect setting for tasting various dishes of national or international cuisine. Shopping lovers should visit the cozy craft shops in the Old Town for Lithuanian souvenirs or you may want to try out the big modern shopping centers like Akropolis, Mega, or Molas where cinemas, bowling clubs, beauty saloons, and ice skating are available as well.
