1. La Provence (Vokieciu str. 22)

Looking for something close to what you might find in old Europe? The search, as they say, is over. La Provence offers truly the most mouth-watering choice in the old town. Savoury fish choices include red mullet, monkfish and fresh, hot and smoked halibut. But if you really want to throw caution to the wind, take on the lamb knuckles or roebuck filet with cherry sauce. La Provence also houses the most uncompromising wine list in town.

2. Da Antonio (Vilniaus str. 23)

Da Antonio is perfectly suitable for enjoyable business lunches with partners and colleagues. You can enjoy traditional Italian meals and great Italian wines in a cozy and calm environment. Da Antonio's chef, Manfredo Molteni, is a native of Lombardia region in Italy, famous for many extraordinary culinary traditions. Every season the cuisine is complemented with new dishes and you can find wines from all of Italy's regions here.

3. Cili Kaimas (Vokieciu str. 8)

Cili Kaimas, which can be translated to Chilli Village, is a must if you want to experience high quality, authentic Lithuanian food in a homely, chilled-out environment. It’s a bit like going over to a friend’s house. The unique themed interior takes you to traditional Lithuanian farmstead surroundings where you can try anything you wish from salads to something hearty and warming. The portions are big enough to share and are exceptional value for money.

4.Riverside (Konstitucijos av. 20)

The restaurant Riverside offers food and atmosphere blended into a real experience. Newly redesigned with an open kitchen, it epitomizes the very best of international cuisine. Whether you dine with friends, business partners or your family, Riverside is always a special occasion. If it's warm outside, enjoy the outdoor terrace seating with sweeping views of the magnificent River Neris. This is a restaurant where you can be sure of high quality cooking, an excelent variety of wines and superb service.

5. Zoe's bar and grill (Odminiu str. 3)

The food at this Swedish-owned restaurant is always excellent and the menu interesting, spaced up with several Thai dishes. The youthful waiters and waitresses are happy, smiling and keen to please every customer. For a fresh, fun and friendly place that meets international standards, Zoe’s is one of the few options in Vilnius.

6. Belmontas (Belmonto str.17)

For those who really enjoy their food with a party atmosphere, a visit to the pleasure and leisure centre of Belmontas is highly recommended. The restaurant serves delicious examples of traditional Lithuanian and European cuisine accompanied by live music. The friendly staff can help you arrange business dinners or banquets for up to 1000 people in a choice of 10 banquet halls of varying styles.

7. Markus ir Ko (Antokolskio str.11)

The setting of Markus and CO is somewhat reminiscent of an old, expensive London pub and it is suitably located on a narrow lane in a lovely part of  the Old Town. The highlight here is high-quality steaks, but if you’re in the area it’s also a lovely place to drop by just for coffee and desert. Markus is also one of the few Vilnius restaurants where you can enjoy live jazz-tinged music while you dine.

8. St. Germain (Literatu str. 9)

Paris is the inspiration behind this shabby-chic wine-bar-cum-restaurant with modern art splashed on the wall, groovy French lounge music and funky handwritten menus. The restaurant can seat only about 30 people, which adds to the very pleasant, cosy ambience. The food is both very well presented and tasty, following a mostly French and European style.

9. Vandens malunas (Verkiu str. 100)

Vandens malūnas ("Watermill") is located in a 19th century watermill that has been ably restored. The river views and out-of-town setting in Verkiai, just beyond Vilnius' suburbs, together with the building's authentic millstone mechanisms and wooden interior details, create a special and cosy atmosphere. Years of careful reconstruction work have earned the restaurant a good name among its regular customers and companies. The good food and service and pleasant surroundings are improved with every year.

10. Medininkai (Ausros vartu str. 8)

One of the oldest, most famous restaurants in Vilnius old town, Medininkai today follows the tradition of offering excellent international cuisine and courteous, first-class service in surroundings of refined elegance and impeccable hospitality. Medininkai has the added privilege of 16th century courtyard, providing guests with the pleasure of lunching or dining outdoors during the summer season amid the atmosphere of ancient Vilnius. Inside the restaurant you can choose to be seated in the White Hall, the Dinning Hall or Wine Cellar - one of the oldest wine cellars in Vilnius.
